In his current role as MD & India Country Head for GlobalFoundries, JC is responsible for
leading strategic direction for GF’s overall India growth, strengthening eco-system connects
with Govt/ Academia/ Industry/ community, people development, identifying business
opportunities and ensuring flawless operations.
Under JC’s leadership, GF India’s team has grown rapidly evolving GF India into a microcosm
of GF with critical capabilities in engineering, R&D, customer enablement, Virtual FAB
Operations, global quality, and supply chain, along with enabling functions.
JC is a thought leader with two decades of experience in executive roles across multiple
geos– US, India, Mexico & Canada. Prior to joining GF, he worked for Intel developing and
driving robust growth of R&D organizations in intensely competitive global markets. He has
held leadership roles in IT, Intel CIO office, marketing, and ramped up two critical R&D
organizations for Intel (India & Mexico), & also served as the country manager for Intel’s
supply chain organization in India.
He is also a founding member of India’s first fabless startup initiative called SFAL
(Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab) and is a past chairman of IESA (India Electronics
and Semiconductor Association).

Jitendra Chaddah (JC)

Managing Director & Country Head, GF India

Guru Ganesan is President & Managing Director of Arm India since 2002; he is known as G. Gurumoorthy while doing his BE-ECE in CIT and he graduated in 1979.  In 2002, Ganesan relocated to India to set up the India Design Center for Artisan Components Inc. In December 2004, Artisan was acquired by Arm, the world leader in semiconductor IP, and Ganesan continued as the Managing Director of Arm India. In 2006, Ganesan returned to bay area as Vice-President, Engineering at Arm, San Jose, California.

 

Prior to Arm and Artisan, Ganesan was Director of Engineering at Synopsys, Mountain View and his business unit was acquired by Artisan Components in January 2001. His earlier assignments include Texas Instruments, Dallas; Cadence Design Systems, San Jose. He was with Cadence Design Systems in San Jose for about 7 years, through Valid Logic System acquisition and worked very closely with India teams. Ganesan started his career with Tata Consultancy Services after acquiring a master’s degree in engineering.

 

Ganesan is member of FabCI Advisory Board at IIT-Hyderabad, IIIT-Bangalore Industry Advisory Board and was part of IESA executive council for multiple years.

Guru Ganesan

Mr. Krishnan Shrinivasan retired as Vice President and Managing Director of Lam Research (India) Pvt. Ltd. in March 2023. He has around 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, working across both the US and India.

At Lam Research, he held multiple roles starting as a hardware technologist, where he developed new equipment technologies and successfully brought products to market. He later became Head of Business Operations, managing global equipment support, P&L, and customer engagements.

He then moved to India to establish Lam’s hardware engineering function, building a 1,000-employee organization that contributes to global product development. As Country Head, he expanded engineering and manufacturing operations, supporting Lam’s global factories and contributing to the development of an India-based supply chain.

He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Center for Nanoscience and Engineering (CeNSE), IISc Bangalore, and works as an industry consultant supporting India’s semiconductor ecosystem.

Krishnan Shrinivasan

Entrepreneurial-spirited, pioneering technologist with 20+ years of expertise in Management building consensus for, and implementing enabling technologies and enterprise systems that facilitate business processes and strategic objectives. Have travelled across different countries in Europe, US, Singapore and China for business tied ups, conferences, facility visits with several high-end technology OEMs.

Broad expertise in Semiconductor, Telecommunications-RF and Microwave, Solar PV, full project life cycle management, client/vendor relationship management, and financial/operational management gives her multi-dimensional skills to be able to open doors to incorporate novel ideas into various streams.

Involved in strategic planning, qualitative & quantitative research, interactive marketing, creative development, media planning & buying, database /direct marketing, public relations, sales promotion and visual merchandising, with the ability and skill set to provide creative, innovative, enthusiastic and forwardthinking leadership in a team environment.

Educational Qualification: MBA-Marketing (Digital Marketing, IIM Bangalore) Graduate in Information Science, Osmania/ Doctorate in Business Administration-SSBM, Geneva
